The 13th District Progress Fund is a
non-taxpayer funded private program exclusive to the 13th
District that has been established to help promote community
spirit & involvement. The 13th District Progress Fund
is managed by a board of 11 people.
In partnership with the District Alderman
and local businesses, the largest event it sponsors and promotes
is the 13th District Annual Picnic, this event will raise
funds to help pay for other programs throughout the District.
I believe that this program will bring us closer together
and take us back to a time when neighbor new neighbor and
helping others was the core belief of the community.
This kind of program can't be done at the city level and nor
should it, this is a community effort and that's where
community programs should start, in the community.
I hope you will consider volunteering for the program or
the activities that it will support, this is a great
opportunity to meet others in the community and make a
difference in the future of 13th District.
